so i cannot say enough about these two dudes . first and foremost, it took me a couple of days to fully process my thoughts about the shoot . what started out as a way to meet the new little bambino , gianni , and capture my cousin's kids on film turned into a really reflective experience . the conclusion - my father would have loved these two . why ? because these two guys are total dudes and down right funny .
on more than one occasion while talking batman , sponge bob , and diving deep into the logistical happenings of elves at christmas time , i could hear my father's laughter . and , of course , when i got in the car to go home , my father's song came on the radio . it's stuff like that which let's me know that even though loved ones move on , they're still with you in the most interesting of ways .
secondly , when i got home and could actually get the pics up on the computer screen, what appeared before me was really cool - dominic loves, loves, loves his little brother gianni . i could clearly understand what my father meant when he explained that having children was so much more than could be expressed in words ; the love is profound and life changing . i hope to be able to take pics of these two again very soon !
