i took it home, took the first picture (of the engine of my car because it was the first thing i saw when i looked through the lens), and decided right then and there that i loved it. like i-want-to-marry-it kind of love. as a matter of fact i believe i proclaimed my love for it right on the spot and said, ' i love you so much i want to marry you.'
then i went for a bit of walk and took some more pictures.
it even makes baby pudge on arms go up on the cute scale.
this year i had an opportunity to give a little to a few school-aged kids in need. specifically, a program which provides backpacks and school supplies. totally up my alley! helloooooo...school. supply. shopping. need i say more?
we started with a list of supplies
and headed to the store. obviously these people were ready for me and used adequate signage to focus my attention
so we loaded up the carts
strapped in the teas
and got our shopping on
after we put it all together, we had 11 backpacks filled with cool back to school loot
contrary to popular belief, i do like to engage in a little bit of adventurous behavior now and then. this weekend provided such an opportunity.
so i grabbed the point and shoot, hopped in the car for a short ride up north and pulled in to this parking lot where the possibility for blast-your-hair back adventure was at virtually every turn of the head.
time to gear up
the limo ride...well the first half of the ride...got us to the bottom of the mountain
until we rolled up to the luxury limo for a 6-wheel-drive ride up some seriously vertical obstacles
when your ride requires a debriefing, that should be the sign that it's going to fall into a rather unique category of transportation experiences
without a doubt some of the most beautiful wilderness
and more gearing up activity
along with a little 'put your big girl panties on and deal' activities
and away we went
this is roger. i don't know him, but when you're standing on a small platform 55 feet in the air, in the middle of some ball-busting adventure, you get to know each other.
then there was the final zip, a jaw dropping pendulum swing that leaves you wanting a helluva lot more
despite the encouragement of our fabulous guides, you will not find any mid-zip pics because i was a scaredy-cat and refused to let go of the harness. but kudos to the point and shoot camera for making these shots possible.
